Presley Dawson’s Comments About Her Time on FTV Girls as Jody
:
I was born in Wisconsin, just my young mother and I alone as she struggled through school. My mother has become my motivation to succeed in life, because she taught me that you really can do anything and there is always an exception to the rule. She taught me never to settle and that you don’t need to depend on anyone in this world, you can make anything possible on your own terms. Growing up in Wisconsin we enjoyed the little things, like when going to visit family we would run off and play on the farm. We would do things like ride the three wheeler, go through the corn fields or the cow pastures, find all the kitties on the farm and try to catch them, brush the cows, climb the silo, things like that. Of course, most of the time you have to bundle up before going outside because it’s freezing there, but the summers are enjoyable. When you grow up on a budget you learn how to save. I am just a normal person. I prefer the Great Value store brand over the brand name foods. I just don’t understand why people spend more for the same product. If I had a significant amount of money I would never buy things like fancy cars or houses. I enjoy simple living and would rather use my money for traveling and enjoying this beautiful world we have been given. I like to find the good in the bad. I love to help people and work with children and people struggling. I went to Mexico City on a mission trip and I found the culture, the music, and the country amazing. When we went to the dumps where people lived I never looked at it with disgust like most people; instead I saw hope. Every person there has feelings and dreams like you and I. Everyone hits a hard moment in life and sometimes you need someone to help you out of the rut. It is my goal to be that life-changing person in as many people’s lives as possible.
